Looking for something to do before going to the opera?
Opera Comes Alive with Opera Talk Italy's "A Taste of Opera"!!
If you’re visiting Verona this summer (2020), and are planning on attending the opera, why not take your viewing experience to a new level with Opera Talk Italy?
From June 13 through September 5, The Arena di Verona will present La Traviata, Cavalleria Rusicana-Pagliacci, Aida, Turandot and Nabucco. You can enhance your appreciation and understanding of these operas with our entertaining pre-performance discussions and singing. Note, these opera talks pertain to the opera that will be performed that same evening.
Relax, Listen, Drink, Explore!
With Opera Talk Italy, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the opera’s libretto with a classically-trained singer, learn about the historical context of the story, and hear fascinating and sometimes humorous anecdotes about the composer, singers and past productions (and maybe even a bit of dramatic gossip to boot!).
We’ll celebrate opera together in the intimate setting of a beautiful, private, air conditioned Verona restaurant where you’ll enjoy local Italian wine or Proseco. Whether you’re new to opera or a seasoned aficionado, you’ll come away with a deeper appreciation of this spectacular art form.
It’s Easy, Fun and Affordable
In addition to the talk, singing and the question and answer segment that will follow, the price includes your wonderful local wines or proseco, a synopsis of the opera you’ll be attending (in English), and the enjoyment of sharing the love of opera with like-minded opera lovers. Given at 5 pm for about 1 hour, in a private, air conditioned, elegantly fresco-ed restaurant in Piazza Bra. So come join us and relax, cool off and have some fun with our Opera singer!!!
